Board
Executive Administration Committee
The Executive/ Administration Committee is responsible for developing policy recommendations to the Regional Council on administration, human resources, budgets, finance, operations, communications, or any other matter specifically referred to the Committee by the Regional Council.
The meeting will be conducted in a hybrid manner (both in-person and remotely by telephonic and video conference).
Community, Economic and Human Development Committee
The role of the CEHD Committee is to study problems, programs and other matters which pertain to the regional issues of community, economic and human development and growth. This committee reviews projects, plans and programs of regional significance for consistency and conformity with applicable regional plans.
Energy and Environment Committee
The EEC considers environmental and energy issues of regional significance, including but not limited to air quality, water quality, solid and hazardous waste, habitat preservation, environmental justice, and environmental impact analysis.
Transportation Committee
The role of the Transportation Committee is to study problems, programs and other matters which pertain to the regional issues of mobility, air quality, transportation control measures and communications, and make recommendations on such matters to the Regional Council.
Regional Council
The Regional Council is the governing board of SCAG and consists of 86 elected officials representing 191 cities, six counties, county transportation commissions, transportation corridor agencies, tribal governments and air districts in Southern California.

Save the date for the 6th Annual Luskin Summit, taking place on the UCLA campus on Apr. 17, 2024! Panel topics include “Elections and Governance,” “Climate Resiliency” and “Equity in Transportation.” The event will also feature the release of the annual quality-of-life survey conducted by the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. 2024 California Air Quality Awards
The Coalition for Clean Air has presented its highest honors to California’s leading policy-makers, business leaders and advocates at its annual California Air Quality Awards. For the past 20 years, the Awards have been the place to network, honor and connect with like-minded people who are leading the charge for improved air quality and lower climate emissions.
WRCOG General Assembly and Leadership Address
WRCOG is governed by a General Assembly comprised of elected representatives from each of WRCOG’s voting member agencies. The General Assembly meets annually to elect new leadership, adopt the agency budget, and conduct other business as necessary.
NARC Annual Conference and Exhibition
The NARC Annual Conference and Exhibition is the largest national event focused on promoting effective regional cooperation and solutions through interaction and education.

Scholarship Committee
The SCAG Scholarship Committee was formed by the Regional Council to evaluate submitted applications for the SCAG Scholarship Program, the purpose of which is to provide financial support to a select group of high school and community college students, particularly those interested in pursuing planning and/or public service-related careers.
Legislative/Communications and Membership Committee
The Legislative/Communications and Membership Committee provides guidance and recommendations to the Regional Council regarding legislative matters impacting the region, policy direction on SCAG’s communications strategy, outreach, issues and materials, SCAG membership benefits and sponsorship opportunities.
Housing Working Group
SCAG will convene its ninth Housing Working Group meeting to engage stakeholders on several housing-related priorities. The input and discussions from this working group will inform the development of SCAG’s housing program and resources provided to local jurisdictions, shape regional policies for consideration in Connect SoCal, and inform legislative proposals.
Transportation Conformity Working Group
The Transportation Conformity Working (TCWG) is a forum to support interagency coordination to maintain transportation conformity and help improve air quality in Southern California.
Aviation Technical Advisory Committee
The Aviation Technical Advisory Committee is a group of aviation professionals who meet in an effort to provide SCAG with technical and professional expertise on regional aviation issues.
