BREATHE California of Los Angeles County (BREATHE LA) the 5th annual BREATHE LA Green Salon Series focuses on fostering environmental sustainability: Green Industries/Green Jobs.

Expert panel discussion with robust Q&A to examine leading examples of organizations from the public, private and non-profit sectors that are creating new sustainable jobs or effectively preparing workers for these green employment opportunities. Los Angeles is already home to the largest concentration of green employment in California and the United States. New economic opportunities are emerging that can ensure that Los Angeles remains at the forefront of sustainable businesses and educating the necessary workforce for the 21st century. If, as the most recent research suggests, green sector employment in Los Angeles has grown at triple the rate of the larger economy for a decade and a half, where are the new green jobs emerging? How can we meet the demand for skilled workers? What have been some of the successes so far? What have been some of the obstacles and how have they been addressed?
