Researchers from UCLA's Luskin School of Public Affairs and the School of Art and Architectures cityLAB will present the findings of their recent work on the potential effects of high-speed rail in California on the urban form. They will describe the policy options most likely to deliver productive, transit-supportive environments that also enhance local economic development.

This session will conclude with a round-table discussion about the possible next steps and resources needed by municipalities to realize their goals related to high-speed rail development. Participants will have the opportunity to provide input on the studys current findings and offer suggestions for best practices in planning for high-speed rail.
