Please join us for the Eighth Annual Regional Housing Summit on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at the Mission Inn in Riverside. This year’s Summit theme, "The Reality of Housing Market Uncertainty: NAVIGATING THE COURSE" will discuss the coming update of local housing elements, the impact of the mortgage lending crisis on local government and the efforts to navigate through this difficult housing market period.

The Summit will include the 2nd Annual Compass Blueprint Recognition Awards Luncheon. The Award program will feature plans and projects that demonstrate excellence and innovation and work towards improving the mobility, prosperity, livability and sustainability of our region.

Featured speakers include: Lynn Jacobs, Director, State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) and Lawrence Parks, Senior Vice-President, Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) of San Francisco.

Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD)

Lynn L. Jacobs was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to serve as the Director of the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) that operates under the aegis of the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency in Sacramento effective, April 2006.

Senior Vice President, External and Legislative Affairs, Federal Home Loan Bank of SF

Lawrence H. Parks is Senior Vice President, External and Legislative Affairs. In this position, Mr. Parks works with Congress, the Administration, the Federal Housing Finance Board, member financial institutions, and national housing and community development advocates to shape the future legislative, regulatory, and policy environment in which the Bank operates.
