A special focus "Financial Strategies" section will be developed to accompany each of the planning and resource management areas of the RCP  — identifying funding opportunities as may be applicable for:

  • Developing new infrastructure;
  • Mitigating environmental/community impacts of specific projects;
  • Mitigating more general environmental impacts of growth and development; and
  • Providing local/community services.

SCAG will evaluate both traditional tax-based public financing structures that are currently available and more innovative tools to leverage private capital.
